About

Kat is an interdisciplinary artist, multi-instrumentalist, writer and producer working in music, sustainability and the arts. She is currently exploring labyrinth building, nature-human relationships and surrealism on residency in Mexico.

Drawing on her research practice exploring eco-anxiety, climate change impacts + more-than-human perspectives, she focuses on creating works that connect people with the environment in new ways, reintegrating respect for nature and challenging the status quo. She is currently developing an immersive spatial audio experience for the public that explores interconnection- fusing science with innovation and nature through future folklore.

Kat plays with the imagination to experiment, question and discover ways to address social issues. She enjoys pushing innovation + collaboration through technology, science and ecology. Through her work with Brunel, she is exploring how entering creative flow-state can aid ideation in sustainable innovation.

Kat has worked with an array of arts and cultural organisations across the globe and centres her practice on cultivating international collaborations. She also runs Kerbside, which explores the intersection of art and sustainability through a global-lens, and is co-founder of Leo, an award-winning reading platform for neurodivergence in the creative sector. She has an MA with distinction from the Institute of Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship at Goldsmiths.

“These writers are exciting, the music is brave and has its own identity and a self confidence. It feels like a new type of musical theatre writing. I felt drawn in and wanted to know more of this world, both musically and sonically. Really interesting sound world and lyrics that made me listen”
